Are some people born evil?

October 27, 2008

Because I’ve always believed the best in people. I’ve always thought people are equal. As long as they’re given the same love, opportunity, chance and goodness, they will never backstab us nor will our love for them backfire.

But? To my sadness, I don’t think it’s really the case.

Just look at babies… they’re so cute but some of them are apparently wicked from birth. Their heart and character are so undeniably different from each other even at such a young age. Some kids, you just want to smack the shit out of them. Some kids, so lovable I’ll melt. I’ve met toddlers that made me feel like they’re really angels. They give me this aura and such pleasant feelings like they’re shooting stars out of their bodies. There’re other kids I can’t wait to trample to death. It’s weird how when I look at their parents, they’re mostly perfect reflection of them. It really surprised me. So you mean, we can give birth to evil? This wicked gene exists???

If I believe that… then gay people who claim to be born gay are telling the truth. They really are born gay. They cannot control it.

People always argue about nature or nurture. That’s not even a question. Some people are really born some way. The bigger question seems to be…. so what if it’s nature? Even if it’s nature, it doesn’t justify anything, doesn’t mean we should do things, doesn’t mean it’s right, doesn’t mean we have the rights to something. Right?… I’m just forming theories.

Like for example, if A is born evil and he can only be happy by killing others, then we would be unfair to him by depriving him of his happiness.

If B is born to be a sadist or someone who likes to be cut/abused or even killed by their loved one, then who are we to stop A and B from killing one another? That’s their freedom, their right, their free will. Why do we care?

It’d be like the gay situation. They’re just doing what they want, what they like to each other and nothing to outsiders. But it’d be as wrong as watching A and B kill each other and do nothing.

I guess the killer example is an exaggeration to explain a theory. The TV is playing MOST EVIL now so I just started thinking about it….

I think I’m still far from understanding the truth in life..
